What to expect from a consultation

During a consultation, we will:

  • Review your symptoms, stressors, medical history, and current treatments.

  • Explore how lifestyle factors (such as diet, sleep, and activity) are affecting your mood and anxiety.

  • Introduce simple breath‑based and meditation practices, adapted to your health status and preferences.

  • Discuss how these strategies can be integrated into your daily life and your ongoing care with your usual clinician.

  • After the visit, I may send a letter with recommendations to your family physician, nurse practitioner, or psychiatrist.

This clinic does not provide:

  • Crisis or emergency mental health assessments.

  • Ongoing general psychiatric follow‑up.

  • Treatment for severe mental illnesses such as active psychosis, bipolar disorder, dementia, or moderate–severe substance use disorders.

My role with the Art of Living Foundation

Important – Breathing and meditation programs

I volunteer as a teacher with the Art of Living Foundation. Any group breathing or meditation workshops are offered outside the physician–patient relationship and are optional. You do not need to attend any specific program to receive care here.
